Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has given an update on the accidents sustained through Timo Werner and Christian Pulisic.
Werner used to be involved in the 3-1 win against Brighton and Hove Albion on Monday night but the German attacker picked a knock but he is expected the be in shape against Liverpool.
Pulisic missed the clash in opposition to Brighton and he is a doubt to face Liverpool at the Stamford Bridge when the Champions go to this weekend.
Werner, making his debut along with fellow new signing Kai Havertz, took a kick while triumphing the penalty which led to Chelsea’s first intention in the 3-1 win at the Amex Stadium.
He executed the full 90 minutes, though, and boss Frank Lampard does no longer consider there is any motive for alarm.
Lampard said: “Timo took a knock when he received the penalty. It’s more of a dead leg, we hope.
“I’d like to suppose that if it’s a useless leg then we’ve acquired a bit of time to get him back.
“And of course he finished the recreation after having that earlyish knock.”
Werner was once lively upfront and his overall performance suggested he will be a most important hassle for Premier League defences this season.
The American sustained a hamstring harm at some stage in the FA Cup final, had been coaching with the relaxation of the squad and was once expected to characteristic on Monday.
But the American has suffered a setback and is being assessed.
Lampard explained: “Christian used to be education with us closing week but he had a little bit of discomfort a couple of days ago where he was once making an attempt to train with us and be in rivalry to play.
“It would have been a huge ask and he’s had to take a few steps back.
“We’ll have to see. That’s one that we don’t have massive news on at the minute. We’ll see.”
